Medical Conditions Treated
Polycystic Ovarian Syndrome (PCOS)
PCOS is a common hormone condition causing a variety of unpleasant symptoms: irregular menstrual periods, unwanted hair growth, acne, weight gain, and more. “Period problems” are often an early indicator of possible PCOS. We focus on a comprehensive approach with weight management, nutrition counseling, menstrual period regulation, acne treatment and medication treatment for hair growth with changes in treatment as needed to benefit each patient individually.
Weight Management/Obesity Medicine
Increased weight either due to lifestyle, environment or genetics is becoming more common. We focus and specialize in addressing the lifestyle factors that contribute to obesity and also can help with medication management when needed to help prevent and treat diabetes and other health related concerns. We focus on a holistic, family centered approach and follow current AAP guidelines for treatment. *
Thyroid Disorders
Thyroid disease occurs when the thyroid gland is unable to produce the correct amount of hormone. This often affects a person’s energy level, metabolism, mood, heart rate, and other functions. We focus on weight management, regulation of thyroid hormones and education regarding how to best manage this condition in a comprehensive manner.
Type 1 Diabetes
Type 1 Diabetes is a chronic autoimmune condition in which the body no longer produces insulin, requiring lifelong management and careful monitoring. Children and teens with T1D need ongoing support for blood-sugar control, growth, and emotional well-being. We provide highly personalized, relationship-based care for families navigating Type 1 Diabetes. We partner closely with each child and family to adjust insulin regimens, monitor technology (CGMs and pumps), address nutrition challenges, and support puberty and growth changes that affect glucose control.
Because of the intensive nature of this care, we are accepting a limited number of new Type 1 Diabetes patients at this time. All new families begin with a Meet & Greet visit to ensure the best fit and coordination of care.
Type 2 Diabetes & Pre-Diabetes
Type 2 diabetes, usually preceded by pre-diabetes, is becoming increasingly common, even in teenagers and children. Fortunately, with proper treatment, type 2 diabetes and pre-diabetes can be reversed. We focus on nutrition counseling, medication management and a family centered approach.

Early or Delayed Puberty
While pubertal development is normally associated with older children, sometimes kids show signs surprisingly early. In some cases, developing too quickly can negatively impact a child’s growth. We focus on education, lab evaluation and treatment in a child and family centered approach.
Growth Concerns
Growth is one of the most common concerns parents have about their children. Growth can be related to hormone deficiencies, family history, delayed puberty, genetic conditions, and many other factors. We evaluate for conditions related to poor growth and develop a comprehensive treatment plan for this condition.
Adrenal Disease
Adrenal disorders occur when the adrenal glands produce too much or too little hormone, which can affect a child’s energy, blood pressure, growth, and ability to respond to stress. Symptoms may include fatigue, weakness, weight changes, low blood pressure, or early signs of puberty. We work closely with families to identify the underlying cause and develop a personalized treatment plan. Our care includes guidance, education, and ongoing support to help promote healthy growth.
Calcium Disorders
Calcium levels that are too high or too low can impact bone strength, muscle function, and nerve activity. Symptoms can include muscle cramps, irritability, fatigue, poor growth, or bone pain. We take a comprehensive approach that includes careful evaluation, nutrition counseling, and vitamin D and mineral management. Our goal is to restore healthy calcium balance and support strong bones, steady growth, and healthy development for every child.
