About Dr. Waldman
Lindsey A. Waldman, MD, RD is a board-certified pediatric endocrinologist and registered dietitian with nearly two decades of experience helping children and families manage hormonal, growth, and metabolic conditions. With dual training in medicine and nutrition, she takes a holistic, whole-child approach to care, addressing not just symptoms but overall health and well-being. Dr. Waldman partners closely with families to create personalized treatment plans for conditions such as growth disorders, diabetes, thyroid disease, puberty concerns, and metabolic challenges.
Dr. Waldman’s Personal Story
Dr. Waldman’s path to medicine was fueled by a lifelong passion for nutrition and child health. After earning her degree in Nutritional Sciences with honors from Cornell University and becoming a registered dietitian, she counseled families on nutrition and managed complex medical diets before pursuing her medical degree at Stony Brook University. There, she discovered her calling in pediatric endocrinology, and during her residency and fellowship at the Icahn School of Medicine at Mount Sinai, she deepened her expertise in growth and metabolic disorders. This blend of scientific rigor, nutritional expertise, and personal dedication to her patients is what drives her approach to care today, and families describe her as deeply empathetic, approachable, and relentless in her pursuit of answers.
Extensive and Broad Experience
Dr. Waldman has served as Medical Director at EviCore by Evernorth, Director of Outpatient Pediatric Experience at Inova Children’s Specialists, and Chief Experience Officer at Pediatric Specialists of Virginia. A respected educator and researcher, she has lectured nationally, published on pediatric endocrine topics, and served on advisory boards and committees dedicated to advancing children’s health and improving patient care.
Awards and Recognition
Dr. Waldman’s has been named a Washingtonian Top Doctor in 2022 and 2023, and Northern Virginia Magazine Top Doctor in 2019. She has also received the Fellow of the Year Award, the Blue Ribbon Award for research, and the Medical Student Achievement Award, among others .
